Terms of Service
Last updated: May 4, 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and myfoldr. By creating an account or using the service, you accept them. If you don't, please don't use the service.
The service
myfoldr provides hosted file storage, sharing, and versioning. The service is currently in beta — features may change, break, or be removed without notice. We announce material changes by email when we can.
Your account
- You must be at least 16 years old, or the age of digital consent in your country, whichever is higher.
- You're responsible for your password and any activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you suspect a compromise.
- One person, one account. You can run multiple workspaces under a single account.
Your content
Anything you upload stays yours. You grant us a limited licence to store, transmit, cache, and display your content solely as needed to operate the service for you. That licence ends when you delete the content or close your account.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use myfoldr to:
- Store or share content that's illegal where you are or where we operate.
- Distribute malware, phishing pages, or content that infringes someone else's rights.
- Send spam or unsolicited messages through share notifications.
- Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the service except under a coordinated disclosure agreement with us.
- Reverse-engineer, resell, or wrap the service in a way that obscures it from end users without permission.
- Use the service to train machine-learning models on data you don't own.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that break these rules. We'll try to give you notice and a chance to fix things first, except in cases of imminent harm.
Beta service, no SLA
While the service is in beta, we offer no uptime SLA, no guaranteed feature set, and no guaranteed data retention beyond reasonable best-effort. We will, however, give you a 30-day notice and a one-click export before any change that would erase your data.
Pricing and payment
The service is free during beta. We'll announce paid tiers before they go live and give you a chance to opt in. We won't silently charge accounts that existed during the free beta.
Termination
- You can close your account any time from Settings. We'll erase your data per the Privacy Policy.
- We can suspend or terminate accounts for violations of these terms or for legal reasons.
- If we terminate you for non-payment or convenience (post-beta), we'll give 30 days' notice and an export window.
Disclaimers
The service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don't warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that data won't occasionally be lost.
Keep your own backups of anything you can't afford to lose.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the service is limited to the greater of (a) the amounts you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) US$50. We're not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenues, or data.
Indemnity
You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your content or your misuse of the service, including reasonable legal fees.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. When changes are material we'll email account holders and update the “last updated” date at the top. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the new terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where myfoldr is established, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes will be resolved in the competent courts of that jurisdiction, except where mandatory consumer law gives you the right to bring a claim where you live.
